The Friends of Northwest Park sponsor several major events each year. We invite you to them all!
The biggest event is the Country Fair,coming Saturday, Septembe 24. Here's what we have planned:

FREE Kids “Fun and Games” Galore
10:00 – 4:00 Ye Olde Fishing Hole, Haystack Treasure Hunt, Bubble Wands, Hoops & Graces, Stilts, Jump-Ropes, Bouncy Balls, Bean Bag Toss, and MORE!
FREE COMPETITIONS (Pie Eating, Sack Races, 3-Legged Races) will be in the following grade groupings: K-2, 3-5, 6-8. All participants are awarded a Prize! All 1st , 2nd, and 3rd place winners receive a Ribbon PLUS a special Prize.
FREE Water Balloon Toss and Tug-O-War over Mud Pit competitions are “open to all” !
Please gather in the “Fun & Games” area 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start times.

Featuring Brown’s Harvest and New Gate Farms. Shop til you drop for the freshest produce and baked goods from right here in Windsor.
Safety Fair
The Early Childhood Council’s Safety Fair is repeating their successful first year with us. Their demonstrations, face painting, safety tips and much, much more will once again be a big hit with fairgoers.
Mini Scarecrows
Come One! Come All! Make a mini scarecrow and pit yours against the rest. We will help you fashion a fabulous mini and then (after winning a ribbon) maybe you’ll make a big scarecrow next year.
Park Tours
Join Naturalist Ford Parker on a quick tour of Northwest Park. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. No food or drinks allowed on tour.

Coffee House Concert Series |
The Northwest Park Coffee House Concert Series brings talented performers from many musical genres to the park for evening concerts between October and May. Your ticket price includes gourmet coffee from The Beanery and home baked treats from the Friends of Northwest Park.
Most concerts are Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. Members receive a $2 discount per ticket. Read More >>

25th Annual Pancake Breakfast - March, 2012 |
Wake up and head to Northwest Park this morning for the annual Friends of Northwest Park Pancake Breakfast from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Warming Shed. Bring an appetite for a full breakfast of pancakes and sausage smothered in 100% pure maple syrup made right at Windsor’s very own Northwest Park. Refreshment choices include orange juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children under 6. Please call 285-1886 to register.
Maple Sugaring, March, 2012 |
Sugar master Chuck Drake operates our own maple sugaring process in the Northwest Park Sugarhouse. Watch the entire process every year in late winter.
The sugar house is now open on weekends and will be at least through the Pancake Breakfast. Call the park for specific details, 860-285-1886.
Country Fair! September, 2012 |
The biggest event of the year is the Northwest Park Country Fair, and last year's fair drew a great crowd on a a beautiful fall afternoon!
